Tasty Breakfast Smoothy

Looking for a tasty and power-packed way to start your day? This healthy smoothie is sure to chase away those early morning blues…

Serves 1

1 medium papaya, peeled and pips removed (that’s pawpaw to my none British friends!)
1 kiwi fruit, peeled
14 cashew nuts
30ml protein powder (Use hemp or pea for vegan/dairy free option)
200ml water (adjust amount to suit how thick/thin you like your smoothy)
Ice cubes (optional)

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately, or pack into a flask and take to work for breakfast-on-the-go.

Tip: I like to freeze left over papaya when it is perfectly ripe. This way you can add to smoothies instead of ice cubes and none gets wasted!

This is a dairy-free gluten-free smoothie provided that a milk-free protein powder is used.
