BananaCoco Coffee janine newberry recipe

What you need to make it:
Blender
Coffee (I use a shot of espresso)
Almond milk (or any milk)
1/2 banana
Protein powder (1-2tspn)
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp coconut oil
Hot water – optional (if u want it hot & less milky)
A sense of adventure 😉

-You could add honey, agave, maple syrup etc to sweeten if you like. I like it how it is. I’m sweet enough 😉

Pop it all in a blender, blitz it up, pour in your favourite mug & enjoy!

Extras – you could add – nutmeg, tumeric, vanilla. All great in this coffee.

BananaCocoCoffee health benefits:

Almond milk –  is low in fat, but high in energy, proteins, lipids and fiber. It contains vitamins like calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and zinc.

Cinnamon – helps curb sugar spikes. One teaspoon of cinnamon packs as much antioxidant potency as a half cup of blueberries, and cinnamon’s natural antimicrobial properties have been shown to fight strains of E. coli, as well as Candida yeast. Also, while technically not sweet, “sweet spices” like cinnamon and nutmeg have been shown to boost satiety and mimic sweetness, which allows you to cut back on the amount of sugar from your morning cup of coffee, or in this case you BananaCocoCoffee.

Protein – Your hair and nails are mostly made of protein. You need it to build and repair tissues, to make enzymes, hormones, to build bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.

Banana – help you reach your weight-loss goals, keep your bowels healthy, a good source of potassium for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function, have vitamin compounds for eye health. Plus they are a great source of energy and fuel to keep you going! Interesting fact – 2 bananas can provide enough calories to fuel a 90 minute cardio workout.

Coffee – We all know it boosts concentration and who doesn’t love that extra little boost the cup of Joe gives! I know I do. It is loaded with antioxidants and beneficial nutrients that help: protect against type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, liver disease, liver cancer, and promote a healthy heart. Coffee is great for your liver (especially if you drink alcohol).

Coconut oil – So many health benefits! In your coffee the fat in the oil helps level out and lessen the caffeine spike and the inevitable crash. Brilliant! As well as that it improves digestion, boosts immunity, aids in weight loss as protects the body from insulin resistance, stops sugar cravings, helps you find your true love. Ok, I made the last one up, just checking that you are still paying attention 😉
