Age-Positive Beauty: Why Your Best Skin Is Still Ahead of You
Somewhere along the way, many of us picked up the idea that beauty belongs to our twenties, and everything after is damage control. I want to gently challenge that.
Your skin changes as you go through life, absolutely. But changing doesn't mean declining. With the right care, your skin can feel healthier, look more radiant and give you more confidence than ever. Here's where I'd start.
Keep it simple. You don't need a twelve-step routine. A gentle cleanser, a good moisturiser and daily SPF will do more for your skin than a shelf full of products you never finish.
Make SPF non-negotiable. If there's one thing I'd want every woman to take from this post, it's this: wear sun protection every single day, even when it's cloudy. It's the most powerful anti-ageing step there is.
Feed your skin from the inside. Water, healthy fats, protein, fruit and vegetables all show up on your face. Great skin is as much about what's on your plate as what's in your bathroom cabinet.
Be kind about what you see in the mirror. Fine lines tell the story of every time you've laughed, worried, loved and lived. Caring for your skin should feel like an act of kindness, not a battle against time.
Choose what makes you feel good. Whether that's a bold lip, a simple glow or a bare face and a big smile, beauty is about feeling like yourself. There are no rules, only what works for you.
Your best skin, and your best self, isn't behind you. It's something you get to create, starting today.
